In 2000, three friends and beer lovers founded the West Coast Brew Fest. Six years later it is the premier brew fest in the Sacramento region and fast becoming the premier event in Northern California. Early in 2005, the founders (Matson Breakey, Dwight Bradish and Brian Freeman) were approached by Fair Oaks community leaders about bringing a brew fest to their community. And the FAIR OAKS'toberfest was born. More of a Brew Fest and less of an Oktoberfest, and known to some as simply the Fair Oaks Brew Fest, this event is dedicated to celebrating the great beers of the season. Like the West Coast Brew Fest, we like to keep it simple with great food, live music and UNLIMITED BEER TASTING! The event is held at Fair Oaks Park at the corner of Madison Ave and Fair Oaks Blvd in beautiful Fair Oaks, California. This event benefits the Fair Oaks Recreation Foundation which helps kids and neighbors become more involved in recreational activities. "We want to highlight seasonal beers, and have a little fun, but we also want to do so for the right reasons," says Matson Breakey, spokesperson for the event.
